The TriNational ForestLab builds on three established partner networks that combine research, practice, and knowledge transfer in the field of forestry and forest management:
NFZ.forestnet ¶
A tri-national university and research network with locations in Nancy (France), Freiburg (Germany), and Zurich (Switzerland). It connects over 700 researchers and offers joint research projects, teaching, and summer schools in the field of forest ecology and forestry science.
SwissForestLab ¶
A national network for forest research in Switzerland that brings together researchers from universities and research institutions with forestry stakeholders. It promotes exchange between science and practice and organizes formats such as the “Dialogue with Practice.”
Waldwissen.net ¶
A multi-award-winning knowledge platform for forestry practice in German-speaking countries and beyond. It provides scientifically sound content in several languages and serves as a central interface for knowledge transfer between research and practice.
